Wow, that was very nice of Brian, to help grown JustIdling as well as WeTalk by offering to merge the JI community into the wetalk network.
Brian is admin on both communities and this would mean he can spend more time on both, as they're now one and the same.
The ownership has shifted to the wetalk.network, and we're looking forward to help continue momentum.
With around 25,000+ public posts and 3,000+ members we're a few posts away from a quarter million. Thank you JustIdling.com, and I hope you will find a new home here. With more content, members, ... and friends?
A little introduction to the wetalk.network:
It's 1 network, with multiple sites under its umbrella. Each site is a niche topic, such as television, anime, sports, games, etc.
Your login works on all these community sites. As they're all part of one network. Every site has the same header, footer and topbar. So you can easily recognize when you're on a wetalk.network site. And you can easily switch between them.
So if you register once, your account works on all the sites. And in most of the browsers, if you login on one site, you're logged in on all the sites. Very handy.
This allows you to have access to many communities, but only having to register once. And you will have 1 feedback and news forum, one newsletter, and one profile. You can still focus on only those community sites you have an interest it. And you can stay in contact with your friends socially through the site. You have a social profile, unified private msg system, chat room, personal blog, etc.
Ok, but what does this mean for the JustIdling.com members?
Well, Brian is admin on JI, and is admin on WTN, and this won't change.
His staff, if they want, can be added as super moderators or moderators to our team. Depending on their activity, and previous status.
All members are imported, so those accounts, their passwords, threads, posts, private msgs, etc, are all still there.
And every member that has over 100+ posts is automatically upgraded to a free premium membership. And of course every JI premium / vip member will still have a premium membership.
Our wetalk.network does not allow deletion of accounts and/or posts. The contributed posts to a community becomes the community it's property. But we understand we're importing users and that means new network / forum rules. So we will force email all the members from JustIdling.com and offer them the opt-out option for their account.
Of course we hope everybody wants to stay a member and enjoys the new home and the new content and new friends. Give us a chance to show your JI site just got an upgrade!
Users can request a) to have their username changed, and then deleted. So their account is pruned, and their posts show up as 'guest' post, with a different changed username. OR b) to have their username deleted. Not changed, and their account is pruned, and their posts show up under their username, as a 'guest' post.
We will email all the JI members with this option.
Can't find the thread you were looking for? Please consider the following:
If it was a "tv" thread, try finding it under the "tv" community.
Or if it was a "game" thread, try finding it under the "games" community.
If you still can't find it, contact a staff member and we will go look for your thread.
To organize and fit JI better on our network, the niche-content has been moved to a community forum where it fits best.
The wetalk.network is very thankful for Brian to help grow our network, and we are pleased to help JustIdling.com to grow it's site by offering 200,000+ new posts and almost 20,000+ members to become friends with.
We welcome you all, and can't wait to talk to all of you.
Floris, Chroder,
Brian, and the staff.
