Argh, the beeping of the laundry machine being ready, complaining that I am not getting up and taking care of it. I wish I was wealthy enough that I could just buy something new every month and not really have to do laundry :D

Yep there's laundry in my machine waiting to be taken out too, and somehow I've lost a pair of jeans!

I had to leave and didn't hear the annoying beep, I just saw this thread and went like 'oh, that's why the cat went into the bathroom four times, must have seen the lights or smelled fresh laundry' .. yeah, I forgot to take it out.
Oh well. Just underwear and socks anyway.

Haha thanks for the reminder!

I've run out of space on my line. Hopefully the towels will be dry soon, then the sheets can be hung.

Laundry gets washed in my house at the weekends only (unless there is a disaster).

I tend to do laundry in the mornings now, put it on a short wash first thing and take it out before I go to work, then it dries during the day ready and repeat with the next load the next morning.

I've moved to nap time laundry hour :) My dark clothes are about 55 minutes and they're done. So I can just be tired, turn on the laundry, go for a nap.. When I wake up by the beep beep beep .. I get up and hang it to dry. If I feel terrible etc, I can go back to bed. But otherwise I continue being productive.

Well, still on this ..

I just threw my clothes in the washer I've been cleaning in the last few days, and put them on the heaters to quickly dry up.
Should be ready in the morning..

This week I had to do so much laundry, lol .. i think this is easily the 4th or 5th time I did it.. And I dont do laundry too often.

I'm making the most of the goof weather and getting everything washed, done 4 loads today, including a hand wash cycle for a coat and some scarves. I'm going to get as much as possible done today while the weather means it can dry outside in the time it takes the next load to wash. Blankets are going in as well and hopefully folded up and put away until next winter.

Got a new washing machine, the short cycle is 20 minutes, but the spin on it makes the whole room shake, so the clothes do come out more damp than the old one as I don't put it on the longer washes often as I can't be bothered with making sure everything is safe!

My laundry routine this year (jan 2020) has been:

Wake up, throw things on the floor.

Have a drink, gather up clean things that were hanging around.

Sit down after being productive, and remember I was going to do laundry.

Have breakfast, and then do some dishes, and throw other dirty clothes on the pile on the floor.

Try to fold a few things I won't use right away. haha

Put other stuff that I need asap in the washer.

Have a shower, put me undies and wet towel in there too.

Turn it on, and gather up enough dirty clothes that i had lying around that can be 2nd load.

Go do something else, forget that i wanted to fold my laundry properly like an adult.

Do other things, have lunch, etc, until washer starts screaming at me with beeps that it's done.

Hang up the wet stuff, since my dryer is dead.

Sit down and do other things online.

Then realise I could have started 2nd load laundry.. ignore myself and continue what I was doing.

Repeat this every day "or so".

Slowly but surely i do a couple laundries a week this way, clean up the stuff once a week, put stuff away properly once a week..

instead of being an adult and have a day where i do it all at once.

MAYBE, February will be better

Doing it all in one day means trying to get it all hung up to dry.

I have caught up on laundry! My mother went away for the weekend so I took everything there, and got everything washed and dried outside, even did my dressing gowns. It is however not all put away
