iPods haven't had an update in ages, and I think with everybody having a phone, or a watch. They don't need to invest into the same devices again by getting an iPod touch or nano.

There are a few things they can retire, and I think rightfully so.

Those Mac Pro cycles have been ruined, stop it. Don't even renew it. Just tell the community you stopped caring about Pro users and want them to move to an iPad Pro (haha what a joke) and retire that Mac Pro.

There are iPad Mini's but I think they even actually discontinued one recently. Why have iPad Air and iPad Pro? Just have 1 iPad, in a few sizes, stop complicating things.

The same goes for the laptops, they renew 1 laptop, and then they have the macbook, and the macbook air. Eh. just make a macbook pro (get rid of the pro behind it) and have it in 3 sizes, 11", 13" 15". No need for a handful of devices with various strange colours and setups and huge price differences. Grow up, get rid of that crap, have a simple device to pick, and spec it to your needs, done.

Apple TV, Apple Mac Mini? Why not just have a good quality apple mini that supports the tv, or a tv that has a great ssd on it that we can use as a full fledged computer? No need for multiple devices. meh.

Oh, and release a workstation already please. ARGH

Mac Mini had potential to be a great workstation if they put some money into it. It could have been the new Mac Pro.

The more money they can make out of unsuspecting victims, the better, for them.

I still have an iphone4s and I hate it. I cannot figure out apple stuff at all. I seem to freeze every one of them I come in contact with. Even my friends very expensive computer.

Sorry to hear you have a completely different experience with Apple products than me Aussie. What you describe to me is an Android phone and a Windows laptop :P

Of course, right when we post this, Apple - after like a year or two - finally comes out with a bit of info prior to a release or two.

They say they've noticed the complaints from people and are hearing us, that they're rethinking their desktop lines like the iMac and Mac Pro.

https://floris.computer/ WILL it finally happen?

iMac gets an update aimed at later this year, with Pro users in mind. For example, ECC ram and Xeon CPU as option.
Mac Pro gets a rethink and upgrade aimed at beyond 2017, with Pro users in mind. For example, easier to exchange parts and upgrade over time.

Finally. I've been waiting two years to upgrade my system. I've been saving up money for ages now. And I am ready to upgrade 1moreblock.com, and other stuff and take the next step with my hobbies and projects.

My 2009 iMac and 2006 Mac Pro need an update. A "pro" iMac would replace both, and I will be set for many years to come again.

OMG, it has been so frustrating, but it's finally great to hear some news and build a bit of hope.

I still say, get rid of stuff that makes no sense, improve what you have. And simplify the product line.
