Ok, eat grass!

I hope it works out and helps your health. I do mean that, but I simply believe meat is an important part of our diet.

I think it's a difficult thing, but it is a good one, however know a few staple recipes first and do your research. Plus talk to Abbs about it, ideally you want to be cooking one meal that you both can eat, instead of two separate ones

I do wish you the best in this, and I am sure you can do it.
I personally love eating meat, but that said: I've cut it down by like 40 to maybe 50% over the last ten years.

The veggie diet can be unhealthy too, cheesy chips are veggie but if you only had those it wouldn't be a healthy diet!

Soo I've been meat free for over a week now. No issues so far apart from what to have as a take-away lol... which shouldn't be happening anyway haha.

Except yours was better, as I just had mine with gravy and undercooked it! That's what I get for trying something new when I'm in a rush

I'm at a week, and I'm craving junk food! Had the Linda McCartney Pulled Pork burger today with a baked potato, but now have a Tofurkey toasted sandwich

Tonight I'm planning n going through my veggie and vegan cookbooks and marking with post its the recipes I want to try. I need to start actually cooking again, even if it's just another soup!

I've had one or two meals with meat in it the last couple of weeks. We had a fancy dinner last night and it was great. No regrets. But having said that, eating less meat is also quite worth it. I felt mentally better with the thought of that.

Yesterday I read through this thread and decided to make eggs in the basket for dinner tonight and get a veggie burger without bacon for tomorrow and make potato wedges. Instead of the planned 2 days (and loads cheaper) meatballs and gravy, etc.

I find it super easy to not eat meat, but I fucking enjoy it when I do have it. I know I am not going to cut it out of my diet, I still find it important to have and very natural to have. But I have no problems with others having a different opinion of course. And I do not have an issue with having less. I already cut down the amount of meat I have per dinner over the last 10 years or so like I've mentioned, and I don't mind stepping that up and having even less.

I think if someone wants to have a diet one way or another, and it is life changing ----- to really slowly get into it. I couldn't do it cold turkey so to speak, because I think it might have some effects to the mind and body.

Less animals being abused, great thing.

5 weeks now! Got blood tests tomorrow so if I'm low in anything vitamin wise, it'll show up.

why not? :D

I love making fluffy pancakes and adding a little ball of vanilla to it, drip it with caramel or chocolate, and then add some fruit and flambe it with some rum or something .. SO GOOD

I'm getting stuck in a rut with food again, think I need to get cooking again. Something more than soup! Might make a pie one day, but I need lunch ideas too.

Get some nice big potatoes :)

Then make a couple, and one too many.
You boil it on day one, use the portion you need.
Keep the rest!

Don't forget to think about when you want to perhaps use a bit of garlic butter or something for extra taste (goes great with meat too).

The next day, just fry up the left overs after cutting them up in like wedges-sized bites.

Cripsy! Yummy!

Leftovers tasting better than the stuff you had the evening before, so much better.

Keep food simple - SIMPLE SIMPLE
and when you're more comfy with it again just start adding the good stuff like extra veggies, or a combo of something. side salad..
