Does anybody do these? I've just bought some to try it out and to help me to relax and calm my mind.

I have lots, Buffy ones, Firefly ones, Supernatural ones, Harry Potter ones, all sorts. However I don't find them relaxing, I get how they could be, but I find adult ones have too much detailing, so it's tiny little boxes to colour and many little lines, then it's having colours that aren't too similar next to each other. Yeah I don't find it relaxing!

I have a fair collection, though I did move them into storage since I took up knitting hardcore. I was using pencils a lot before I stopped, some markers, usually the felt tip brush ones. LOVED using watercolor pencils, I had the Prismacolor ones, but the leads kept falling out.

I have a couple, and I should get more. I think this is actually a great idea for me and my mom. As she's aging and some health problems are kicking in. She loves the iPad we got her, and she likes physical puzzle books. Maybe she will actually like it if she and I would do some of these just to keep us busy and to share something.

Does anybody have any links to recommendations?

Yes!

So Joanna Basford does beautiful work. It's a little intricate, but some of it isn't too bad. I can speak for Enchanted Forest and Secret Garden.

Some of the mandala ones are very wonderful, I've gifted a couple for people who've wanted to pick up coloring as relaxation. This is one I'd consider- Mandalas and Patterns.

I know I have a lot more but they're in storage, but yah, I could figure out which ones I have!

Yes I approve...

Just go with what you're interested in and a mandala is good too.

Talked about this thread with my mom tonight. Some personal stuff I can't go into, but she was already saying things like: If I have colour books I don't want maybe we can ship them to your friends! My dad jumped in going: yeah a $4 book they can buy there, versus us shipping it for $15, no tnx! lol typical :D
