Prince Philip, Queen Elizabeth II's husband, has died aged 99, Buckingham Palace has announced.

A statement issued by the palace just after midday spoke of the Queen's "deep sorrow" following his death at Windsor Castle on Friday morning.

99, wow.

Crazy that I knew them (from tv etc) when I was super young, and that today I still know them. They've always meant something in the EU. I remember asking my father when we were at buckingham palace when philip and elizabeth would come outside. haha.
