I don't think anyone has, hackers don't normally touch phpBB software but they do go for MyBB a lot.

So is phpBB, but you don't see a lot of people looking through their software to find flaws in it.

Well from the way their code is they dont leave too many open doors in their software... Mybb got worse with that over the past 4 years since 1.4 was out. then of course they got a patch for it. but yea. Thats also the difference between paid and free software.

That is why it is best to go with a paid software like Vbulletin or IPB or Xenforo. They put more effort into their security of the software for the customers unlike free software.

That's true. I know some people who actually go in and change the software up, I know I have done it before...but it ended badly. [IMG]

yes. More than likely because it became a well known software. I see more mybb out there than Phpbb3 or any other free one.

That's true, phpbb is untouchable. I don't think they have ever been hacked or anything like that.

even if they have the count is so much lower than mybb and also their coding is little bit different. I wouldnt say they are So secure to have Private info on it but its still little tougher to hack ive did some checking of their code and from what i could see it will take a little bit of time to work through. they have alot of arrggg cant think of the name but yea anyway....
