    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Q7XH8lfGMc[/ame]

Ironically, the same mother fuckers who shout "no public option" love military spending by the government (aka military socialism). They don't want government in their health care, yet feeding more to the green "socialist" machine? :bad:

Here are some other videos of tea party idiocy:

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnocTf8K6D4[/ame]

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVS4Zgjm8HE[/ame]

Dipshits who don't really know why they are even frothing at the mouth. Where were they when Bush decided to invade Iraq and Afghanistan and needlessly spend their precious fucking tax money. They love to rationalize that spending while condemning a public option that, in my opinion, is desperately needed. And even if they don't agree with a public option, how about rationally offering an alternative instead of simply shouting retarded slogans over and over again, hmm? Grown men throwing hissy fits instead of having quiet, rational debate or discussion with dissenting opinion. Fucking embarrassing.

    Populist Mob 2012! :cort:

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

to point out the obvious these people are:

    "mother fuckers"

    "Dipshits"

    "Grown men throwing hissy fits"

    "retarded"

    "so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight"

So the American people have spoken on this issue and have been clear they don't want a govt takeover of their healthcare and the left still pushes forward in their mad grab for power, completely ignoring the people that voted them in. Yet somehow the people need to maintain their civility and have a quiet debate while they get steamrolled? i just wanted to make sure i have this right.

This from the same group who continuously called their opponents "liars", racists, mass murderers, war profiteers, fascists, would be dictators, baby killers and accused the former Pres of being behind 911 or at least letting it happen for political gain. Seems to me all this discussion of civility needed to occur about 7 years ago.

BTW, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars were and are the Constitutionally required response to 911. "Secure the national defense" as listed as a Federal responsibility in the constitution... you know, the same document that says congress has no business in my healthcare. so maybe that's the difference?

Look, if you want to be forced into govt run healthcare, if you want your grandparents healthcare to be taken away from them and given to illegals, if you want the Federal govt to have open access to your bank account to seize funds when they see fit, if you want to get your healthcare from the DMV, if you want rationing then have at it, Missouri could pass a socialized healthcare bill tomorrow if they wanted it.

Just don't involve me in your stupidity.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

There are more options then just two extremes. True, quiet debate does nothing to press their opinion, however neither does screaming slogans at random people.
It's not the fact that these people are protesting, it's their methods. Do you give a child throwing a tantrum what they want? No, you don't.

That's a little extreme. In politics that's what happens. The republicans have done the same thing multiple times with previous leaders and would-be leaders.

What? I don't think the minority should be thrown in with the majority. A very small percentage actually believes that (myself included, although I won't go into that) Bush had a hand in 9/11. And even if they did they didn't go around throwing huge obnoxious protests and shouting slogans.

I agree with you on Afghanistan, however the invasion of Iraq was completely unnecessary and uncalled for. Even if it was needed, we should have waited instead of charging in overnight.

There. Are. Other. Options. This is not the only thing that can be done, not just one extreme or the other (as I previously said).

Basically what I'm trying to say (and what I think Jeff was getting at) is that these "tea parties" are ridiculous and backwards. By being loud and obnoxious it's causing people and politicians to blow them off. What they should do is come up with another possible option and present it.

There is a compromise and both sides need to come together and form some sort of workable public healthcare system that doesn't infringe upon the rights of the american citizen..

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

From what I have seen of the proposed bill in both the Senate and the House, the Public Option is just plain pointless. We already have a public option- the Emergency Room. The proposed health reform bills do nothing in the way of decreasing medical costs and expanding the range of medical science. Basically, what these bills propose is a way to cover almost everyone, under a very basic plan, which is almost as awesome as the one I am on now (I am not insured, in any way, whatsoever).

Oh, I do agree- reform of the medical business is needed. Decrease all these bullshit malpractice suits, for starters. Yes, little Susan got the wrong kind of medicine, and as a result, she vomited for a week. Tragic. Sucks. But, it doesn't entitle her to millions of dollars for pain and suffering.

Another thing to help reform health care is to limit the amount of profit any drug maker can take in from their products. Yes! Profit caps! Mega socialist! Call it what you will, but companies charging $100 for a tiny pill that costs them $1 to make is simply evil.

Additionally, Medicare and other plans... they need to be reformed. Elective Surgery and other procedures and medicines which are not critical should not be covered. Why should we pay so Edgar the 80 year old can get free Viagra? Or so Susan the 40 year old can get a free tummy tuck?

Now.. about government spending in general... you're damn skippy I'm in favor of a heavy defense budget. Why? Because it's a fucking good idea, for starters. Heh. Not to mention, do you have any idea how many jobs are created, and affected defense contracts and spending? roughly half the country supports the military in some way. Now, I do agree, even in the field of Defense spending, there need to be reforms. We do not need 50 inch plasma televisions in the waiting rooms in military hospitals.

There are SO many bullshit things the government spends money on, it's almost impossible where to pinpoint where to start reforming. However... there is a revolution brewing, make no mistake. If there are this many people pissed off, for whatever reason, then something is wrong. Something is very, very wrong. Hopefully, more people wake up. Right now, you have a groggy nation, just waking up, but still sleepy. In time, we'll be fully awake, and pretty pissed. I count the days.

Now, to the guy in the first video... the moron with the "Public Option Now" sign.... lol Democrats cry out "manufactured outrage!" This guy, in all his glory, decides to grab a giant sign with a phrase that he knows will incite angry feelings, and has his friends from the police department there to escort him through the crowd, because he KNOWS he's stirring shit. He's TRYING to provoke a negative reaction, and is expecting it.

How the fuck is that not manufactured? Don't get me wrong, I think all politicians are full of bullshit, and need to be fired. But... Democrats? The biggest fucking hypocrites on the planet, by far.

But hey, it working. These guys aren't dumb. They (all politicans) have polarized the nation so far that you have, essentially, 3 mobs. 1 right. 1 left. 1 that just doesn't give a shit about anything but themselves. So, we're all so busy arguing with ourselves that we fail to see the big picture- the government is fucking us all, with no lube.

This giant health care debalce... seems to be overshadowing the gross misconduct of the government in other areas. For example, the billions of dollars that ACORN, the fucking criminal organization (in a total coincidence, of course) that registers new voters, all which happen to be Democratic voters, is getting from the federal stimulus.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

Look, that all sounds good. the problem is the President and his party DO NOT WANT to fix healthcare, THEY WANT TO TAKE IT OVER.

It's not like this is a new idea. They've wanted to take it over since the 60s, they tried then, they tried in the 90s and they're trying again, there are only 4-5% of the American ppl (the rest are illegals or 20 somethings that don't wanna pay for it and don't need it yet) that want coverage and can't get it so why on earth would they want to eat the whole system when that many ppl could be covered with just a "patch" on the system?

Also, the Reps have offered tons of better ideas on HC, it's just that the left wants to nationalize it, so American common sense market based reform is the last thing they wanna listen to. In all this time Obama has not had ONE SINGLE MEETING with the Conservatives where he could listen to their ideas, then has the gall to claim "they've got no ideas".

The govt is not listening to the ppl on this one, we said initially that we don't want socialized medicine, and they didn't listen, we said it again in the 90s, now we're saying it again and they're said they're gonna do it anyway, so we're pissed.

    What's in the Dems bill:
    http://www.gop.gov/policy-news/09/08/06/reading-guide--democrat

    The GOP plan:
    http://www.gop.gov/solutions/healthcare

BTW, sorry but if you believe the Govt (or the President) had anything to do with 911 then there's only one word for you... Kook.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

And the cost of that emergency room is fucked if you don't happen to have insurance. 500-700 dollars for someone working at a low wage job is crippling. Surgery is a financial death sentence.

Like that will ever happen. Big pharma has too much clout and lobbying power for it to be reformed.

To defend this nation from terrorists the American government creates due to horrific foreign policy? Believe it or not, the 1979 Iranian revolution and 9/11 happened not just because the Ayatolah and Osama "hates freedom".

The disproportionate amount of military spending compared to spending at the domestic level is sickening. It's 636 billion dollars. That is roughly 300 dollars more than the entire European Union spends. Think how some of that could go towards improving the lives of citizens instead of flailing around the American camouflaged cock.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

Then approach it like a civilized human being not like a radical redneck.
The first thing that pops into my mind when I hear "tea party protest" is a bunch of inbreds yelling trying to get their way.

Those numbers are not accurate in the slightest. The families of many of my friends are floundering (and no, they are not illegals I assure you), and the government just turns their back on them. I agree, there needs to be some limitation so illegals cannot fuck the system up. But screwing over a bunc hof people who legitimately need help is not the right way to do it.

Then the conservatives need to make an effort to get their ideas and suggestions out there in a rational way, not scream and kick like infants and say that the government is run by an islamic commie who wants to screw everyone over.

Then obviously something needs to be fixed and a compromise needs to be met.

Sorry but if you believe anything the Govt (or the president) vomits into your mouths then there's only one word for you.... Sheep.

I'm pretty sure I'm not an inbred redneck. Yes, you can catch me at those parties (at least, at the ones in Louisville).

True, there are SOME, and boy, do I mean SOME extreme right-wing morons at these events. I know, because I attend them. What you see on the television, unless you're watching Fox, is NBC and CNN focusing on the one or two people who think the government is being taken over by Muslims, or other crap like that. No, not biased, at all.

Hell, you'd think Michael Moore is the editor for NBC on tea party coverage, by the way they only show certain people's opinions.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

Again, you get away from the fact that military spending is the Federal govts Constitutional mandate, domestic spending is your individual states mandate. you wanna be a welfare king with free healthcare head for bankrupt California, bankrupt NY, bankrupt Mass or bankrupt Michigan. Or just look at your state where the policies you endorse have turned a garden spot into a blight.

People like you don't seem to get the fact that the Govt doesn't have its own money, every dollar they get they have to take from someone else, and what of that man, the guy who worked hard and has his work stolen? In order for one man to profit without work it requires another man to work without profit, how could that ever be fair, or right?

America spends more than the EU on military spending because the EU relies on America to defend it, as we saw in WWII and even recently in Kosovo, Bosnia and Afghanistan the EU (or even NATO) can't do dick without us. (I agree it's bullshit, but if you wanna make the world really unsafe and unstable then start dismantling the US military).

Let's review why bin Laden says he attacked the US. His stated reason is that we stationed an Infidel army in the Holy land, we did... at the request of the Saudi govt (who was under threat of invasion) in order to liberate Kuwait. Who the fuck is Bin Laden to tell the Saudis and US how to conduct foreign affairs? You'd bow and scrape to this madman? (What about the next madman? Kim jong Il? Hugo Chavez? Ahmadinejad, Putin? Sounds to me like you'd be bowing so much you'd simply live life on your knees.) Anyway that's his excuse, remove that one and he'd just find another. If listening to a sovereign govts will instead of bowing to any pissant jihadist that straps a bomb to a kid is "horrific foreign policy" then... guilty as charged. Americans are typically not into sucking Jihadist cock like those on the left... sorry. Do men like Bin Laden "hate freedom"? Well, they hate Christianity and have been on a 1500 year drive to wipe it out, they hate women's rights and are just as likely to attack us for the crap we beam over from hollywood as they are because we helped a dictator in Iran.

There's a reason we pay higher prices. We develop the drugs so we pay the R & D. Cap prices and we never develop a new cancer drug again. Again i agree it sucks but that isn't the reason HC is so expensive here. It's expensive because we offer unlimited HC, we don't just let you die once you get too expensive like European nations. It's expensive because currently our govt is run by crooked trial lawyers like John Edwards who make hundreds of millions convincing uneducated ppl that downs syndrome was caused by their doctor, not all the meth they did. Or as one doctor put it "That your blindness was caused by a careless surgeon, not by you flying 150ft off the back of a motorcycle and landing on your head".

Pharma's on board with Obamacare anyway, he guaranteed to protect their profits. Pharma costs aren't even a real issue in the cost of HC, ask any doctor. That's just more class warfare crap you guys have bought into. If you look at HC expenses only one expense matches the growth in costs of HC and that's malpractice insurance. The dept of HHS says that 108 billion+ is wasted by false malpractice claims each year. Save that money and we could cover all the uninsured and still put some of that cash in the bank. Instead the lawyers and "experts" get rich. So the quickest way to reform HC is to go to "loser pays" in malpractice suits ensuring that frivoulous suits get stopped, will it happen? The party in power is the party of crooked trial lawyers, so I'm betting not.

That number was a combination of the CBO and Census numbers

    46 million uninsured
half of those are 20 somethings or illegals
12 million are eligible for s-chip and medicaid and don't know it
leaving approx 12-15 million who want ins and can't afford it or 4-5%

and yet you'd let them run your healthcare? you'd give them permanent power over your life and death? You'd let them have un "fettered" access to your bank account? Who's the sheep?

You keep saying compromise but the power to compromise comes from the party in power. All the right can do is not vote for the bill, they can't insert what the ppl want without a Dem letting them, they can't go to a meeting without a dem inviting them, how do they compromise? In the end why should they anyway? The ppl are behind them and don't want this bill.

And BTW, if the President doesn't want to be linked with Communists I'd suggest he doesn't take them on as his top advisors (see Van Jones).

So you prefer the corporate welfare state? The trickle down economics which piss on the hard working people whilst providing record profits for corporations?

I don't understand what you are getting at here.

Well, Americans certainly like sucking Saudi cock for that oil. ;)

As for human rights? Fuck em, eh? As long as the oil is aflowin and they abide by American interests, they are our Muslim bosom buddies.

The rest of what you have written is largely unintelligible and I don't have the patience to decipher what the hell you just said. It's largely wild accusations that are completely ridiculous and insulting. "Bow and scrape to the madmen" What the fuck is that? We all scrape and bow to madmen. That has been going on since the dawn of civilization. Believe it or not, the United States is apart of that madness you loathe so much in other rogue nations. The difference is, we project most of the madness outwardly instead of inwardly. America isn't this rose-colored beacon of freedom you've been brainwashed since birth to believe in and the "dems are the only crooks" logic doesn't fly with me, flapjack. The United States has been bought and sold years ago to special interest groups, lobbyists and corporate interests. You see two puppets, however look behind the curtain and you'll only see one man holding both of them up. Democracy is a sham and fucking lie in this nation. And yet the bamboozled citizenry keep voting for the same party's that couldn't give a ripe fuck about them. Republican, Democrat...it doesn't matter. It's a plutocracy, oligarchy, corprotocracy. The difference between terms are negligible. They all pretty much sum up who is actually running thing here.

That rant went a bit to the wayside, but I think what I said is crystal clear.

So let me get this straight:

Damn, i stand corrected. These sound exactly like the people i want running my healthcare. :pwn:

    Game, Set, Match.

BTW, never said "Dems are the only crooks". I said

and they are. Look no further than last elections Dem candidates Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and John Edwards. All three trial lawyers. Trial lawyers are the Dems richest special interest. According to campaign watchdogs 80% of trial lawyer campaign funds go to Dems. That's why the single most important plank for HC reform (tort reform) is not even mentioned.

    Proof:

You already do, every govt has a finite budget. Every socialized HC system has a finite budget, the people working within that system are more concerned about that budget, their bottom line than they ever will be about your healthcare.

The only system in the world where there is an infinite budget for HC is the United States.

Before you put socialised healthcare in place in the US you have to fix the government. Now is not the right time to be doing it, the government exists too much on the whim of special interest groups with a bit of money.

Even if you got a good socialised healthcare system set up and working in the States right now you know that in four years time it would be broken. That's kind of where a lot of the cost has come from in the first place, half socialising the system in a way that let people make things much more expensive than they'd otherwise have been.

If anything you should be doing away with a lot of the laws governing it that have served only to increase the price.

This is true, because according to polling data every Socialized HC system in the world is already broken. "Good" and "socialized" are mutually exclusive adjectives. There is no good in socialism... ever. It's a cancer on the human condition.

Yes, that's why your best chance to survive cancer or trauma is in the US. Hell, in the US you'll be getting cancer treatment before you even get a diagnosis in most European countries.

European HC is all about letting you die rather than your govt going through the inconvenience of paying for your treatment.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

First of all - what's the issue with trial lawyers? It's almost clear that they, as one of the richer groups of society (due to the american schooling system in part), on top of that rich and active in the public sphere, will be working in politics.

The thing is, Joe the Plumber usually won't get into the inner circle. No matter if you're talking about commie states, or dem states. That is unless he manages to get on a revolution bandwagon in the right moment.

Playmaker - show us that poll data? i have a hard time believing it. Let's just say a very large amount of US people have misconceptions about european systems. I won't argue that our systems also need some fixing, it's just they work for everyone. As opposed to the american system which brutally punishes those on the poorer side of things, while still costing far more than euro counterparts.

Not to mention the system is also quick.
As to cancer survival rates - you keep forgetting national differences. Many americans will decide to undergo grueling treatment and generally suffer it over. On the other hand, from what I remember, many britons just decide not to have treatment. It's a different national mentality which does reflect on the numbers.

Well, from what a few buddies of mine have told me, England is actually the world's leader in medical technology. They have equipment and techniques that are decades beyond what we have in most parts of America.

Still, from what I understand, it's a bit of a hardship to get seen in England for anything other than a fractured skull. I don't know personally, just going on what my buddies who have been there, and live here, have said.

I'm all for health reform, but not the way the government is going about it. It's going to cost too much, and do too little. It's not worth it.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

oh wow, first Jeffro, i'll remind you again of your post:

So uhh, when's your flight to Somalia leaving?

i don't hate govt, i just happen to know how the American govt is designed to work and you don't. The American Fed gov is supposed to be strictly limited, with all these decisions made at the state lvl (that way you could make such an incredibly stupid decision as Socialized healthcare and i wouldn't be sublect to your stupidity). To prove this I'll simply ask you to post the Constitutional requirement that govt provide universal healthcare. Good luck, there isn't one. That single fact should end the argument.

The single biggest factor driving up HC costs in the US is litigation and defensive medicine. Malpractice insurance rates are the only statistic climbing at the same rate as Hc costs. Just go ask your doctor. so if it's the greatest factor driving up costs why isn't it the central point in any reform?

It'a shame you're endorsing Socialism when you apparently are clueless as to what it actually is, perhaps in the UK police are socialized which would explain why British police are best characterized as "fat Bobbies in Astra Diesels who run from the first guy to throw a stone at them" as characterized by J. Clarkson. however, in the U.S. police, fire, and schools are run by the municipality NOT central govt, since the hallmark of socialism is CENTRAL govt control they (again) are expressly not socialist, the army is, but the current army is run anti-Constitutionally and it's socialist nature explains why it is inefficient, overpriced and slow to react.

didn't we already go through the statistics that prove my point once already, in the "orwellian" thread. You Euros said there's no way American HC is better... then the facts hit the table and the discussion changed to "Well, Europeans don't get diagnosis or treatment because... we don't want it, yeh that's it, we don't want it."

not even close KI, America is far and away the world's leader in medical tech, we invent the new drugs, the new equipment, new techniques and offer far better access than any Socialized HC system. England lags behind the rest of Europe and has possibly one of the worst HC systems in the Western world. For proof check the "orwellian" thread, and my posts there. Or:

Playmaker - I don't know a single person who was not diagnosed, not treated and not treated qualitatively regardless of age, gender, current health whatever.

Likewise one could concoct far worse horror stories in the US system, where people where not allowed to finish healing due to not being able to pay, quality care being denied to them etc etc.

As to your malpractice argument - that's nothing else than just a sign of the idiocy of the US legal system.
You use something which Europe had during communism. So called judges from the people.
The thing is, in commie times, the actual professional judges had some power. In your system the professional judge's power is very limited in favour of a jury. A jury which will more often then not side with one of their own.

Lawyers are an extremely important part of the judical system. Remove them and you are in effect back at a practice which was common in the austrian monarchy at around 1800. The judge was god for the accused as there was no one to stand for him.

The fact that your legal system can be so easily abused is not a problem that lies with the lawyers, instead it's a problem that lies with the jury system.

Also cancer rates are nice. What about hearth disease rates? Isn't the US on the rockbottom there? You might also notice that the closer a country was to the good old chernobyl chain, the higher cancer rates (overall numbers) are in the population of 40-60 year olds more or less.

Still I want overall survival rates for the hospitalized. Just cancer doesn't tell us much.

Re: The tea-party protests are so f'ing stupid, I can't see straight

You say that like it’s synonymous with the divide between state and federal government or state and city council. Yet if Europe forms a federal government the systems we have in our countries wouldn't suddenly switch to being magically non-socialist, a beam of metapolitical light would not shine down and bless the land. The difference between central government and non-central government is one of hierarchy or collective, not of state and federation.

:wtf: You're quoting someone the BBC hires to do its comedy car program as some sort of authority on policing...
