I grew up enjoying stuff like the Oscars, but as I got older, I soon realized it's just a way to showcase celebs and their rich ways. Don't get me wrong, I love movies and enjoy a lot of the actors/actresses out there. But it feels weird to me that they give themselves awards each year essentially. I mean, the whole voting thing is done by other people in the industry, such as "actors, directors, producers, and other crew on movies". So they vote on what movies and actors win.
So I kind of stopped bothering with award shows when they're all celebs and rich. Give awards to the people who were on the frontline against covid. That would be cool.
