I'm a pescetarian, but every once in a while I go off all animal products for a month or two. I find it helps to reset my cravings and fat intake. Do we have any vegans here? I have tons of vegetarian cookbooks, but I'm always on the lookout for new vegan recipes to keep things interesting when I'm on the wagon, so to speak.

I am not a vegan or vegetarian ~ I love eating meat. And I doubt that will change. I am trying to cut down on dairy and on eating meat/fish. It's a lifestyle change, half my portions and create variety and attempting to avoid processed food.

I do find that too much diary doesn't agree with me, mainly creamy things, so I try not to eat too much, I like almond milk, and regularly use dairy free butter. However still need cows milk in a cuppa tea though.

I think the bigger thing is to avoid as much processed food as possible, although some veggie burgers are pretty good!

It's made to be addictive though, the chemicals in it make you crave it more, especially things like diet coke. It's like low fat things, it's not actually low fat a\s it's full of sugar which turns into fat in your body, it's just not got the fat content in the actual food. Companies know how to draw people in and get them craving the food, it's horrible really. They are creating illnesses with their products.

However back on the topic I used to make vegan welshcakes, I'll have a look and see if I still have the recipe

I am vegetarian although I do eat mostly vegan. Only once in a while I eat ice cream and things made with eggs. I don't think vegan is superior or anything but I do find that it has given me some health benefits.
