Can I automate making coffee yet?

The Internet of Things era is here, I guess.. Can I use my iPhone to tell my coffee machine to do stuff when I want it to? Or will I end up with a $1500 machine just so I can be lazy? Anybody have any experience with this?

You can plug in a special plug to the wall which you can power on through your phone. I don't know that it would make the coffee for you yet though.

Nah, won't count. That's the redneck solution. I want the geek solution - a true internet of things. A smart coffee machine knows when I wake up and want coffee, learns from my daily behavior and gives me remote control, etc. The logical things. But, not for $500 or more :P obviously.

Bluetooth or IR receiver on Coffee Machine, build app to talk to it. JOB DONE.!!
