Do you use a firewall?

Do you use a firewall and antivirus, or do you rely on your OS and router for security? I was really shocked to learn my neighbour was relying on Windows built-in protections only, and his PC was a mess. I'm running seperate protections on the broadband router, my network router, and my PC! What do you use?

I use Little Snitch firewall on my Mac systems, and I use a hardware firewall within my network.
