Lions... followed closely by Wolves.

My 8 year old boy's favourite animal is pigs... apparently cows are their enemies... go figure.

I was one of those kids that loved dolphins, had the bed covers with them on, pictures and ornaments everywhere!

Probably a tiger though, but red pandas are cute too.

Horses, I have to say. Since I no longer have any and I really really miss my awesome horses: horses.

If that's not an option: Elephants. Because they're just fantastic, smart, loving eachother, and are still around.

They're so utterly dramatic when you try to get them off a branch, instantly you feel sorry for them. They claws are sooo sharp. It was fun to hold one once, he climbed all over me.
