Without going into the details of which domains, but it happened to me again. No money to pay the $10, $20 or $50 for the domain. Thankfully they were just playgrounds for me, and despite that their intentions and goals were nice, and eventually it could make some money. Just spending that mula every year wasn't worth it for me right now. I just don't get around to the projects and I have had too long of a delay on development.

I've moved the data to a subdomain at a different host, cancelled the hosting and domains, for renewal and it's all good.. But it's just sad to see domain names expire. Squatters take them (not even real people who might enjoy them). Sometimes I wish I could just accept that a domain costs $250 and register it with a discount for buying it for 25 years.. so I never have to think about it anymore.

Have you ever had a domain expire, for what reason?
