I have an iMac and I'm on the look out for some nifty little programs to download, free or paid. Just wondering if some of you Mac users would like to share what programs you use. I'll go first:

MacUpdate - A nice and easy way to see what programs need updating, this program also allows you to update from the program itself.
Mac Cleaner - This is a good litttle program to clean your computer, it removes program languages that you don't need and lots more.
kaleidoscopeapp - This is a nice little program to compare code documents, it also integrates very nicely with Versions.
MacHider - (For Floris) I saw this video that you posted, and because of the background on your computer, I thought this program may come in handy to hide all your porn <3 lol.

Can all you Mac fans share some nice programs with us too, one program I'm looking for is a nice irc chat program, as I currently use my browser and it gets annoying having it open if I'm working with too many tabs. I know most of you guys are going to think, check Google, but I'd like your opinion on the programs you guys use :)

If you don't already have an uninstaller, I highly recommend getting one.

I personally like AppZapper, it has done me pretty well.

Oh, and also, Caffeine is a good Application - it basically keeps your computer from going to the screensaver or to sleep. It is useful if you have any use for it!

1password and dropbox are a must.
I am very happy with Coda and TextMate as well.

Currently I use Chrome 10 beta as my browser,
Skype for VOIP,
Adium-X for instant msg
XChat-Aqua for IRC (and Linkinus which btw has my chat network in their as default server)
Photoshop CS5
iShowU HD screen recording software
Transmit for SFTP
Unison for usenet
Things.app for project managements, and todo lists
VLC media player for well, all media playback

I don't like dropbox, never seemed to get on with it.

I have skype installed, but don't talk to anyone on it unfortunetly.
adium is awesome :)

thanks for the list mate, just wondering though, I had a look but couldn't figure out how to stop xchat from beeping every time someone replied, all i want to do is get it to beep when someone mentions my username, i had a look through the list of sounds etc but couldn't find 'mention' or anything in there.

I'm downloading things.app too :) thanks for the list :)

Skype is also a great program, highly recommended in my opinion.

Also, Dropbox is an amazing program if you require it.

Mac is terrible in my personel opinion

Hey Floris, can you add a dislike button to Xenfans purely for this post? jk lol.

Although I respect your opinion Mystery dude :)

Skype is also a great program, highly recommended in my opinion.

Yeah I love Skype, I've got free calls to landlines on it, but the only person I talk to on it is Joe (m0o0oeh). I need to delete and add some people :)

Mods: Sorry, didn't mean to double post, it wasn't intentional, sorry.
