The forum product XenForo has been released on October the 5th 2010 as a beta and we've been alpha and beta testing it the last month or so and really enjoy it.

The XenForo.com site is taking shape really well and has build an amazing 100,000+ post community in a short period of time with information, resources, and support.

XenFans is a XenForo enthusiast site where we offer our own products, services, and resources; Such as convert and installation services, styles and product listing, as well as custom written user and moderator guides. We're writing unique articles, do interviews and prepare for a lot more. ​

Of course we will have some overlap with XenForo, but we are very well aware that we are not XenForo, we're our own space, and sit on top of XenForo - helping and sharing where we can. Talking about managing your community, and whatever else we want. We will have tools available such as a signature builder and a lot more.

During the last few months we've been on-line already with a blog and we had our first newsletter (October) to our early adopter XenFans members. Published below.

This is why we won't have a 'forum' newsletter during October. Because we want our audience to get familiar with our set up, with the XenForo features, and give the change to our members to configure their profile and set their preferences.

I hereby kindly and honestly invite you to go through your account. We have options for 'receive site emails?' which is set to Yes by default. Leave it at Yes if you want to receive our monthly newsletter, and change it to No if not.

The newsletters will keep you up to date about what goes on in the XenForo universe, with focus on the content at XenFans.com - we hope you subscribe.

Ok, little moment of 'eh, oops'. We've mentioned to our blog users we will have users opt-out by default, but in beta 1 of XenForo it's set to opt-in; without a global preference option to set it to opt-out. Sorry!

The next newsletter can be expected early November. And we will publish the on-line version in this thread.

We are very excited about the XenForo product and our XenFans site, and we thank you very much for browsing the site, signing up, posting and participating, and some of you are even contributing your knowledge and resources. Keep up the good work, it's very much appreciated.

XenFans Newsletter October 2010

Tomorrow (Tuesday October 5th) the first beta will become available for purchase. And because you and I are early adopters we get a $40 discount, for 24 hours you can get the product for $100.

If you were considering to get one or more licenses and start a new community or convert your existing one to XenForo, I thought it would be nice to send this reminder that it is finally going on sale, and that you have a short window to get it a bit cheaper.

A bit about xenfans.com - which is live, but only with the blog. But behind the scene we've been working hard on future blog entries, information, articles, user guides, and testing xenforo. Once we have acquired our license we will run XenForo beta 1 live on our xenfans.com site - and enable 25% more of our features and content. Starting with the forum and a special section for user documentation.

We hate spam, so we will not move over your blog account into the forum, and leave it up to you to register on the forum (100% free) if you desire - and hereby invite you to consider joining and participating on the one and only XenForo enthusiast community.

XenFans Newsletter November 2010

Our community has grown in the last few months, our current statistics are over 295 discussions and over 2,000 messages made by more than 225 members.

We are happy to announce that XenForo has had a great start, despite the claims filed against them ( see here: http://xenfans.com/threads/138/ ) and that we're excited to see the product turn stable in the coming months. It's been running quite stable on our site.
