Planning a move from vB to XF, questions about addons

So, I've practically been in tears over how amazing the interface is of XF is.

My issues with vB are over the fact that my users seem to find it a hindrance rather than a tool to aid their discussions. After demoing XF to some of my staff, they are begging me to migrate.

I have to wait for vaultwiki.com to release version 4 of their software, which will include XF integration.

I have a couple questions about addon's that I've been unable to resolve. It has to do with being able to access the forums from mobile devices like Android and iPhone. Tapatalk.com has said they are working on an integration, but what can I do in the meantime?

Also, I use Cometchat.com and see that they have an XF integration. Does anyone have experience with this?

Sorry for all the questions, but I thought this forum might be the best place to get those questions answered.

Unfortunately I can only answer one of your questions which is the one regarding access from mobile devices. As far as I'm aware, XenForo has built-in compatibility with mobile devices. Hope this helps with your decision to move to XF.

I don't have any experience with the cometchat integration for XF, I see they released it, but it's only available on their site and it's paid, I would imagine it's the same as the vB version. I think they have a demo on their site..

I think beta 4 of xenforo actually improves support for mobile users, but I dont' think it will come yet with a mobile specific theme. I am sure others are working on it.

Cometchat could be replaced with http://vbirc.com/xenforo - an easy irc addon that uses our vbirc (vb does not stand for vbulletin btw ) chat network, and adds a direct chat block to the site. You can demo it here: http://xenfans.com/chat
