Astronomers have detected a record seven Earth-sized planets orbiting a single star.

Without going through the article, which I will do in a second. I think it's very exciting that we are finding more new ways to discover what's beyond our reach visually. Our observable universe is ridiculously huge ~ but so is our galaxy. If we ever to preserve the human race we have to leave this planet. The Sun will eventually have a nibble of it. Either living in space stations (and spreading a couple in different directions) and turning space travel into generation ships that space travel.. It is a first step towards being able to travel to another place where we could potentially settle down.
