We had a chat in 2016 and 2017 and decided to put our brains together and find that old backup of our communities and put them back online under omgboards.com.

So yeah, time has moved on, but we're still here. A few years older, but still here.

Some I have not seen in ages, it is so awesome to go through some old discussions.
And some I still talk to on a daily or weekly basis, and we sometimes reminisce over these old topics.

Why not, *click* surprise, .. the site's back online.

And my apologies to those who do not recognise me, please give us a chance, find your old content and accounts, and have this same cool feeling about our old topics like we have. And hey, maybe we can become friends too?

I am not that newbie
I know a few craftings and their usings. I prefer breaking mountain blocks to the ground (yeah i know, it is very unnecessary )

Okay, great. On our 1moreblock.com (the server we use here on omgboards), we have a few worlds. Your first visit will be in /spawn, which is where you can safely browse around and get used to movement and see what's in the game for the most part. When you're comfortable moving around like you say, we have a general world where you can 'survive in the wilderness', this is where you can explore and get introduced to the dangers of the game. Find a spot away from spawn that's not used by others (and leave stuff made by others alone as we consider that griefing). Once you found a spot, type: /sethome (you can change it later) Then you can go explore to cut down trees for wood, to craft a workbench and chests, and a few basic tools. Build a shelter, store the stuff you want to keep, and when you forget where your home it, type: /home to teleport back home. Oh, to get to the general world just type: /general which will bring you to the general worlds' spawn.

From there, it's a matter of making a little farm, storing items you're collecting. Crafting them into better items. Better blocks, better armour, better weapons. If you want to build your home, do it in /general. If you wish to mine for resource, we have a /mine world. We also have a /end and /nether world. And a few other worlds for events and other reasons. But let's save those for another time.

Once settled down and feel secure in your shelter, build out to a house, and a better survival setup. So you have sustainable foods, a way to travel around, and nice place to be in and invite friends to. And that's the biggest fun I have on MC, playing with friends.

Griefing is not allowed, if you do it, you get caught and banned, if it happens to you we could review the grief and make a solid attempt to restoring it, and we ban the griefer. Same with stealing items from others. To keep your items, you place a chest, they are protected and locked to your name. You can add others to your chests with a command. You can also lock doors and a few other things. Players who are on a lot and build nice and bring in friends etc, they can get a protected world area so grief isn't even possible anymore. Invite your friends, help grow the place, it will be much more fun with others around.

We're a small server, but we have about 50 connections a day, and in various time zones some people play (together) for a few hours. But yeah, it's small and empty at times. Just like our forums :P But we aren't going away. We never deleted a perm world. And have only grown since.
