Chain writing

Have you ever done this silly method of writing? When I was young, my friends and I had one book that we all used to write poems or short stories. One of us would hold on to the book for several days. Once she had finished writing, she passed the book to another member. I couldn't recall if we had more than one book, but it was certainly fun and interesting!
