Anyone else here play a musical instrument of any description?

I was lead guitarist in a band up until about May of this year, then I moved to London. Been playing guitar for about 4 years seriously and am self taught. Before that I'd had a few lessons at classical guitar. Saving for an acoustic an when I have one I'll post up some recordings

I tried to learn the Guitar, but I find it too hard. So I gave up.

I am not really interested in instruments..

Dude the guitar is like the easiest instrument to learn, but it just takes a bit of practice to get started. After you have the basic techniques down it's just a case of speeding everything up and you can play most stuff.

You should try learning again

Lucky that my school has a guitar class that goes from guitar 1 through guitar 4 and I'm currently in guitar 3 for the whole year

Sounds cool dude. I take it guitar 1 is like the lowest grade then it progresses up? If so you must be pretty darn good.

I played the trumpet in the sixth grade band. I didn't do seventh due to me not being able to read notes.

Got to Guitar Grade 3, but gave up years ago due to my involvement with certain websites - Cheers Incogneto =p.

I love making tunes up on the Piano so might start learning it.

I played the recorder in 3rd grade, trumpet 4th, 5th, and through my junior high career. Picked up the guitar in highschool. So that makes this my.. 4th year.

Learning guitar.

I've got a cheap $75 one, but I'm working for a much better one (acoustic, of course)

I might consider electric when I get more familiar with frets.

I have always played the guitar, never had any lessons. I am not good or great, but I am okay enough to entertain myself and have a fun hobby. I still enjoy playing, but it's less of a passion than when I was a teen.

We had a bit of a break with the site, so most threads appear dead :) Don't let it stop you from posting!

Does slapping my pencil against the desk while I go through spreadsheets count?

I once got myself a guitar and it's just lying on the chair and each time my friends come over someone grabs it and holds it - feeling awkward putting it away because they dont want it to fall over. So there's always someone trying to play on it. So I leave it on the chair.
