Why is it that on Android there are so many updates on the play store of apps that just get updated 2 or 3 days ago as compared IOS apps that don't have that series of updates for an app it updates just a few days prior.??

Well it all depends on app developers as they want to fix all bugs and provides new features as they want to make sure end user gets more creative features. Sometime they update to security related problems. In fact iOS apps also gets updates regularly.

iOS Apps only have to focus on the OS compatibility. Knowing that using the platform will make it work for those tailored phones the OS will only work on.

For Android Apps they have to cover not just that, but then every range of releases in the saturated market of android. So many 'it doesn't work' reports will lead to updates and updates and updates.
