Anime DVDs Help

So my kid wants to see some good Anime that has not been viewed before. Can you recommend anything that plays in English please, region 2 as well??

Nothing really other than mainstream, which I'm not even sure is classed as anime as I don't really know enough myself.

She has seen things like The Last Airbender and Kubo and Avatar etc Also watches a lot of weird stuff on Netflix, girlie detective stuff and fantasy cheese like Glitter Force. However she has heard a lot and think she wants to investigate so I thought seen as I don't know much, here, is the best place to ask for help

I don't remember anything too bad in it, that would make it unsuitable, however there's a lot of very short skirts!

Sword Art Online and Naruto are my favorite animes! If your okay with some violence, battles, and etc. would be good place to start maybe . You could also go to a local book store and buy "manga"books. Those are basically book versions of anime series ! You can find lots of cool stories that way too and most of the time they also have the anime series too of them!

Sword Art Online is a fun one. Yeah. Man, if only we'd have the tech like they do in the game. Id' play.

The problem is, if I recommend good anime, I don't know if it is something for kids.. I am serious. Some of the best things anime brings is actually deep thoughts, heavy emotional stuff and in depth story lines. Not always suitable for kids.

I will post them anyway, because I think some people here who are 18 and older won't have a problem with them.
