Did you name your computers and devices?

My iMac is sometimes in specific code functions referred to as Maccy. Kinda stuck.
But no, most of my devices no longer have a nickname or a specific hostname to identify them by.

I basically use one of my domain names like this:
imac.example.com
iphone.example.com
etc.

I name them, in the sense of making the devices recognisable on the network - I have to. There are 7 people in this house with multiple devices I have a phone, laptop, tablet, Gary has a phone, laptop, tablet xbox. The five kids all have their own xbox, their own tablets, the two oldest girls also have phones. If i didn't name them, I couldn't block them from the network and internet when they were misbehaving

I usually just say Elizabeth's (device here) for all my technology and stuff. But as for my car... I did name him
