Do you think Chromebooks are worth it?

I've been on the lookout for a better laptop for a while now. I've been suggested Chromebooks, but I know for a fact they're not right for me. I do too much with computers, and chromebooks are very limited in what you can do. You're essentially limited to what Google Chrome app store, and google play store can do. So any apps/software that works on other PCs, will not work on a chromebook.

I just feel it's good for general internet use, but for other means, it's a pass for me. But what about you?
