I don't really use those as I am active on the forum a lot and if they are turned on, I will get a whole lot of useless messages. I normally check the forum out a couple of times a day and I find all of the new messages.

I Prefer to use the Watched Threads and Whats New parts of the site personally... I hate getting pointless emails about the fact someone has replied to my thread etc etc when I have already read the reply... So Unless it is important I know ASAP I turn them off.
