I work from home. I do a bit of blogging, freelance, things of that nature so I need to try my best to keep my desk area clean. I mostly do but I have a tray where I tend to dump things into. So instead of having stuff all over my desk, I have it thrown into one spot. I clean it once or so a week.

I need to find a better system though as I would like to have my desk be clean at all times. Dust tends to be a pain since everything is black. If I don't dust every few days, it looks like powdered sugar is all over the place lol

How tidy do you keep your desk and/or work space? Do you have any tips to stay organized?

I tidy it up once a week when I get into a mood, but it tends to get messy after a few days.

Haha you really don't wanna see my desk area! I have 3 drawers in it that are rammed full of stuff from nail varnish to iPhone boxes and Christmas planner book. I just about have space to use the mouse and keyboard. My desk gets tidied and cleaned when I remember and have the inclination to do it... not as often as I should let's put it that way hahaha

I am mainly at home as well. My apartment reflects how I am mentally and physically doing. It really does help to keep things tidy a bit. You relax mentally, there's no naggy voice in the back of my head reminding me constantly that besides all the everyday stress there's also still cleaning to do.

Nice to hear you're doing blogging and freelancing work from home. I hope you can separate personal space from professional space.

I try to do little things, cable management, when I get up I bring with me what can be put in the dishwasher or thrown out, and when there's paperwork I try to go through it to keep what's important, move what requires instant attention to the left where I see it, and the rest I throw out or archive.

Same, every day or so I make a 3 minute effort, once a week or every second weekend I make a 15 minute effort to clean the table. And once a month I probably clean the floor.

But we do! :D Tidy it up and give us a screenshot. You will feel so much better when it's all tidy.

Having 'stuff' on it doesn't mean it's dirty or messy, it means it's being used as well.

    I haven't done a jigsaw in ages.

Another freelancer at home, just like @op
