How to get your site name out there?

It's 2017, things are different, the world has millions and millions of domains and people just go to Facebook and Instagram. So, .. in this day and age, how do we get our site out there to draw some attention to it and make people go "huh, that's cool, my kinda site"?

There's hundreds of ways to promote your site aside from social media. It depends on your niche and what your site has to offer. For example if you are selling a product of service, the best thing to do in my opinion is paid clicks to your site through Bing, Google or other search networks.

I could talk about website promotion all day long and I wouldn't be able to cover all the ways to do that aside from Facebook and Instagram
