Hmm, I need help; I am not doing well. It has been really challenging dealing with stress, trauma, anxiety, as well as my physical health issues. My eyesight, headaches, and body problems have been adding to the difficulties. It's been tough trying to stay positive, and I've found myself stuck in negative thinking patterns.

After a long time, I've realized that I need help, and I've finally started taking small steps to get better. I hope to keep making progress, no matter how small, towards feeling healthier and happier.

But, it's hard not to get depressed, and I have gotten used to feeling negative, thinking negatively, and dealing with it in a not-so-healthy manner.

It's been hard to stay positive, and I've found myself stuck in negative thinking patterns. After a long time, I've realized that I need help, and I've finally started taking small steps to get better. I hope to keep making progress, no matter how small, towards feeling healthier and happier.

I am probably rambling. Anyway, let's get on with it.

In my second session, my therapist informed me that it is smart to help me change how I think. Move away from "probably," "guess so," and "I can't," to more manageable thoughts like "possibly," "and not right now, but I will." and "I realize I can, so that is a truth."

Her recommendation is to think about and realize what my facts are, what my safe feelings are, and what happy thoughts I have. For example, what I am grateful for. As little or as deep as it goes. We went through a couple, and I will be making some off-line post-its that add another dozen.

I put this out there so others can also use it, or if others are struggling, they might benefit from making a change in their lives.

Below this post, I will write down one. Feel free to ignore it, add to it, write down yours .. or just be inspired by it.

August 26th, 2024:

- The day after my second therapy session, I am grateful that I had a calm day that went well. It made me feel confident and hopeful. It motivated me to be positive and move forward, which fuels my desire to go for a third session.

I am grateful that I have such a lovely group of friends who seem to understand me, support me, and always make me smile.

August 30th, 2024:

I am grateful that I chatted with a friend and fell asleep because I am happy that my new bike arrives today. It's another step forward in the things I want to achieve that have been coming for a long time. I am nervous, but I am glad I am not freaking out.

I am grateful that today is going well and comes with good things.

August 31st, 2024;

I am grateful that I didn't have too much trouble writing down on post-its what I am happy about, grateful for, and glad about in my life. I got 15 different things, and I told my therapist about it. Today's the third session. We will see how it goes. I might have some questions.

But, I am grateful that it feels upbeat and that things are going well.

I am grateful to have online friends who help me when it gets rough. And that's hard to admit because reaching out for help is tough for me.

I am glad I have a strong group of online friends who support me. Thank you

I am grateful that I recognize I can recover, and trying to be less depressed while things go wrong.
This was a tough few days, but, I am here now, and feeling slightly better - and I am grateful I can reach out to friends who want to be there for me.

I tried, I really did. It is so weird how I do nothing with my life and yet I don't have time for threads like this, which take a second.
I am grateful that I remember that I try sometimes. I guess. I don't know.
