I'm Jeff. I have been around XenForo for awhile. I was lucky enough to purchase a license on the first day it was available. I used to enjoy using vBulletin until the dark times began. I upgraded to the 4.x Suite.
I still have the older version running on a small forum. http://linuxagora.com. I will probably run 3.x there indefinitely. Once vB 3.x fails, I expect I will convert it to Xenforo. I also have a license for Invision Powerboard. They also have a good program.
It is my hope that Xenforo prospers and holds the mega corporations at bay.
