On the list of forums one of them says documentation, with text below it. Other forums are real forums and have no text description.

I don't really get what you are asking

However, the "Documentation" forum is actually just a forum link. These can be added in the "Create a Node" section of the admin CP

Forum Descriptions are optional, this means you can leave them blank. However, at xenFans.com we have a forum description at all our forums. To see them, you just gotta put your mouse on a Forum Title and it will pop up

It's a forum node type. Vincent is right.

Set the type to 'Link', and enter the URL of the end-point.
