Meeting your heroes

Aw man, every time I meet someone that i look up to, it's exactly how they say : don't meet your heroes.

It was a disappointment yet again. And I will refrain from saying who it was though.

- They don't care about you, so you won't make an impression.

- Star struck probably means you just make a fool of yourself.

- You're number 5 billion they meet, big shrug for them.

- He or she will be defensive or pretend to be nice. It's not what you want either way.

- And they will stop being a hero to you.

My ex was a roadie for a lot of rock bands, so I got to meet a lot of the bands I love. Hung out with Chris Cornell a few times *stops for a quick cry*, met Aerosmith three times (they were so awesomely fantastic), Metallica, amongst others. The most dickish one I met was Paul Rodgers (lead singer of Bad Company and Free). Ended up hanging out with Tyla from the Dogs D'Amour who was his opening act - he was so much fun!
