I am looking to have my board converted to xenforo - my current vb4 installation is on www.mydomain.com/forum and would like it in the same place however my issue is this. I am currently deployed in Afghanistan so I do not have the capability to ftp or anything so I unless you would be able to install the xenforo files then this is a moot point. please let me know

thanks

Hello,

In order to upgrade your board from vBulletin 4 to XenForo, including installing XenForo, I will require (don't publish the details in this thread) access to the XenForo customer account to download XenForo (since you can't FTP the .zip to the server), I required FTP access to upload the files, and run the installation. And I will require phpmyadmin access to create the database, unless one is provided that I can use. I will also require the database details to vBulletin 4 so I can point XenForo to it and run the importer on it.

As a bundle option to the convert, we offer the installation at 50% of what XenForo.com currently offers.

Depending on the size or your vBulletin 4 data (how many posts are we importing?) I can give you a quote.

We have a non-refundable $9 base price. The first 250,000 posts are $40, and $10 for every 250,000 posts thereafter. If for some reason we can't do the import we will refund your money, minus the base price. The installation of XenForo bundle option is $25 on top of the convert.

All payments are over PayPal, seeing this is done live on your site, we require a 100% upfront payment. If you don't like the convert or we fail, you get your money back minus the $9 base price.

Assuming you can provide access to xenforo, and vBulletin, and we can upload files, we can do the import on your server; I assume that the database for vBulletin is on the same server.

I will have time to start on this from Sunday morning onwards.

All the best,

Floris

In regards to the vBulletin4 instance being in /forum/ and your request to have XenForo in /forum/, I would close the vBulletin 4 board while the import is done in /community/, and when done, rename /forum/ to something else and XenForo to /forum/.

Thanks for the prompt reply - I am however happy to announce I was able to have this installed and got everything imported and it appears all my permissions are good too :) gonna install your mod on the board now I think
