Now, the benefits for considering to have an Gravatar.

XenForo obviously is quite popular, and over time you and your friends will run amazing communities. Now, imagine that you have to sign up once on gravatar.com and verify the email, then add an image to the email. You can do more, but .. that's basically it. And then (and here is where the magic happens) if you register on a site using that email that gravatar knows from you then you get that image as avatar. Totally automatically.

No need anymore to keep it around, have multiple versions, have it in the right size, or whatever. No problem .. A one time setup, infinite uses.

Pro tip: Want different avatars for different sorts of sites? No problem, add more email addresses and link pictures to those. If you sign up on a XenForo site with that email, it will use that avatar.

Nope, you can upload a picture from your computer. For example; the one you're currently using. It doesn't require a web cam
