The boring thread of: I have to really clean a few things (part 1)

Today is:

Washing up
Put clothes away
Clean bathroom sink

Not much today as there's a lot of out of the house jobs to do.

Well I got none of this done, but I did get all the out of house jobs done. So all these again today to do, and put the washing machine on.

 

[Floris]

Did not feel dizzy when I woke up, knew that would change.. So I went and spent hours in the kitchen prepping veggies and cooking chicken drums, etc.

Got a sauce done, got veggies all sorted and done, etc etc. Portioned it for 4 days, (today +3 in fridge)

Made coffee near the end because my body was done with it. I knew it! .. Sitting down now.

Last night the steel wool thing showed up, I sprayed the faucet in the bathroom and scrubbed, scrubbed, tiny progress. Lots more need to get done.

I was thinking about getting chicken drumsticks, I always just get breasts, but I was thinking of getting something different, however I usually find them messy to eat!

Half of the washing up is done, washing machine is on. Bed is made, I'm doing quite well at making the bed each morning. Going to start on the clothes while I wait for the washing machine to finish.

I've been super yawny tired and dizzy all day. Didn't feel like risking fainting scrubbing on my knees in the bathroom

Just cleaned the bathroom, still got the floor to do though
Got the oven dish soaking but done the majority of the washing up
Most of the clothes are now put away, just the most recent ones that I've taken off the airer to do.

BUT THIS TIME I decided to try drum sticks. And while it was delicious and great, I think it will be an incidental thing just to mix stuff up.

Thank you for keeping me motivated. Thanks to you all and this thread I have done way more this year already compared to probably half of last year. Well, it feels like at least.

They showed up yesterday and most awkward moment! But, talked them into a quick visit, and it is what it is. I am sure they weren't impressed with the place (shrug) but it was better than the weeks before, so I've done my best.

HAHA I just finished a todo item from 2009 !!

Collect all the Apple product boxes and put them into 1 bigger box. So they're always all together.

These old boxes sometimes have stickers, warranty papers, extra things like usb cable or some package I dont use (until years later when i need it).

Kinda nice to know where it is now, and I can't believe it took THIS LONG. And, whatever I couldn't find now I will run into it during cleaning and I just put in the box.

This weekend there's just upkeep, no cleaning todo list, i have the minecraft celebration weekend, and i can't do 5 things at once :P

It's actually a bright day today, so I'm going to try and go for a long walk, I need to pop into work this morning and also buy some coleslaw for dinner so once I've done those I will make myself a hot drink and take it with me on a walk. Its bright but cold!

You can do it. You've had less time in the past. Try to use the fact that you'll feel better once its done to motivate yourself!!

Update:

Heart rate 125-130, so taking a break. Moved stuff out of one closet, threw away old things, and broken things. That'a bin full that I need to throw out.

Then I moved all the boxes I could tetris stack into that closet, and moved all the clothes into every tiny space I could find.

The other closet has room now in the bedroom, so I can use it for "tada" STORAGE.. of not my stuff. fantastic.

12 midday, i am awake again. slow start.

I have a vc meet at 6pm, so that gives me 6 hours to do something. I will keep this short and get up now and do something, I will give a bit more indepth update when I am back soon - my back/eyes hurt, it wont be long haha

I emptied out a closet, I threw away everything I knew I didn't need to keep, including old tech (hurts my feelings haha)

Then the 2nd closet (they are not that wide btw) i merged with the first one. So now I have 2 empty ones for either storage and moving to the other room or keep here if there is room and fill it up with things that show up on the 15th.

35% done in this room, progress !! glad this room isn't as terrible as the other one. embarassing how the other one is, i dont wanna start in it. but here we are. gotta do it.. anyway, i have more things to throw away, an old printer, computer, xbox console etc. thye're old, broken, etc, but i still have to take the hard drives out and stuff.

had a coffee break, back to cleaning.

The little room is finally empty, don't ask me to show you where the content is though..

Hoovered the floor, next is probably a scrub and letting it dry.. I eh, dunno what's next, i have to measure the size available and think about a plan-b, and then go to the farm and find the mini-farm and measure it and pray it's going to fit.

My body is showing signs of "you are not making it to tomorrow", so taking it slightly easy today. So i can push again tomorrow.

Secretly.. the windows are super dirty, the edge on the wood is dirty, and the empty closet there for storing things needs to get dusted properly. but eh .. EEEH...

Update, okay fine.. i sprayed the windows, wet sponged it, wiped it, .. and called it a day, at least a layer less of crap on it. Spring i will do the outside haha.

The last day for the first deadline. I have achieved a clean room to store things in, and the livingroom I have made a start using some of the things, but what is heavy I can't throw out now, the movers can do that haha.

The smaller things I will collect today in two bags and bring that downstairs. I am sure I can fill two bags

What is next is the dishes, I haven't done those in two days now and I have to catch up. Groceries arrived and I organized all that and made plans for some food dishes. Hopefully I can make the most of it. No more take out this week, .. month? I have to be strong.

The last room in the apartment that needs a proper scrubbing is going to be the killer, I secretly hope I never have to set foot in there again, but I hope today I am going to make a start. I have to face my demons I guess haha
