Seed potatoes are apparently in short stock this year, I haven't yet looked in the garden centre.

Just to make sure I do stay somewhat paranoid I'm listening to 1984.

After my week without hot water, I've stocked up on baby wipes, so useful when you can't have a shower.

I also need to go through my first aid kit still if anything is close to being out of date. Its the one I keep in the car. I did restock the car sweet bag though! I don't tend to keep food in the car, but do like to keep some mints or sweets there as a just in case.

I need to sort out my first aid kit too as I found out last night with a bloody mess!!

Ordered a new at home first aid kit.

Decided that by next winter I want to get a few more things sorted.

Car:
An automatic type pump, one that you plug it and it pumps them up.

A battery starter kit, bit more expensive but jump starting a car relies on someone else being around and with this I could do it myself.

De-icer/washer fluid/oil, get extras of the essentials.

Home:

More base layer type of tops, more thermals

New hot water bottles, I'd like a new long one and a neck one.

Blankets sorted out, and if possible to get wool/natural fibres ones.

My surveys paid out so I'm all stocked up on fans! I know it's freezing now, but they're always cheaper to get in the winter. Got 2 usb ones, a neck one and a desk one that also has lights on it. So extra lights if we do have a power cut too.

Had an email from national grid about preparing for power cuts, and then all the talk about 72 hour preparedness. So yeah, I'm back thinking about all that.

The news is not making me less anxious, and I barely read or listen to it.

So I've got my power bank on charge, and bought another candle! Well I also bought more cans of tuna and other stuff, so at least I can have some odd sandwiches if the power does go out.

Water is an issue though, I do have water bottles in the fridge, but it's storing water that's the problem.

Can someone remind me not to buy more tuna, because I had forgotten that I had already bought a 4 pack, so bought another 4 pack!

I know my biggest issue is keeping on top of the cleaning. If we had a severe power cut then I've got to navigate the floordrobe and kitchen in the dark!
