Christmas shopping has started!
I've started building up my lists for people (mainly Abbs)... I'll do my big shop as always in October when I get my money..

This year I think I'll focus on clothes for Abbs, she has all the art supplies she could wish for now lol... everyone else wont get much this year as I'll be on a tight budget.

My wishlists are basically empty now, only stupid products left.
Time to think about adding things more actively again and see what i want to do this christmas.

I get paid Monday, so I'll go through what I can get people and probably get part of Mums gift.

Completely overspent this month so not as much Christmas shopping done as I hoped. However, I have ideas for everyone except my dad

I do most of my spending in October when I get my savings.... guna be grateful I could afford to do it this year... dunno about next year :(
I've got things in mind for people just not many presents bought this year so far. I've worked out my budget for this years money, which will be tough as it's Abbs 16th this year!!!!

I've done most of what I can do before December.

I still have to figure out what to get my dad, but everyone else is either planned and can't be done yet (food or renewal) or done.

Apart from the cat!

I must not buy any more Christmas decorations!
I am actually trying to get a few new things to make the apartment look a bit more cozy, but, throwing out some of the older stuff that looks old and actually never use.

The more I think about it, and how many little things I still need to spend money on for my own hobbies, .. I feel kinda weird about compromising for myself yet again, cutting down on groceries, and sitting in the cold for electricity bill .. and then spending money to give nice things to others.

I really feel like it's important for myself that I dont' feel bad about that, and not do much for Christmas this year, despite the intentions originally.

Let's just get through the Winter, have these last 3+ years behind me, focus on myself for a few months first. And then be there for those around me again.

Still 50/50 about it though.

For me, I'd absolutely give up spending on hobbies to be able to buy people gifts. I've been going through my finances and created separate pots on my banking app for various things I have to save for, and will put what money I can aside for those. Once I have enough saved, for my craft group trip, I'll start a new pot for Christmas next year.

Wrapping paper has been ordered, my aunt, who I was going to get a food gift for, is now done.
I've got an idea for my dad, but I'm unsure about it.
I'm about half way through filling the cats stocking too. I've been wrapping stocking gifts as I go,using up the last of the wrapping paper I already had.

It might be a good idea to at least get some gift-wrapping paper. For birthdays and things like Christmas. Hm.. it's probably somewhat affordable still (and in stock). Thanks for reminding me, I don't mind buying like 20 roles and being done for 5+ years. Lets troll the nets and see what is available and affordable, discounted, etc.

Christmas shopping is almost done, one to get in November and one in December, and I know what I'm getting, the November one is on sale throughout the month so waiting til next payday to get it, and the December one is a renewal so I'll do it closer to Christmas.

Cat has a full stocking so even he is done now, just need to wrap it all and deliver/post everything

I had a chat with my sister about being unable to buy things, she said that's fine. Which feels good. So now if I run into a little thing and I can afford it I will buy it - and what I can't, ill add to blackfriday list and review then again. Who knows what I have by December. But .. energybill companies will get my money of course, and inflation. So - fam had enough in the last few years. I'm not going to stress over it.

I'm starting to plan what to buy everyone properly now. I've got a few bits but need to finish everyone obviously. I get my Xmas savings later this month I think so will shop then and make a big dent.
