Discord Trick or Treat!
Can you be the Discord Champion of Halloween 2020?

Keep an eye on the #events #offtopic and #bot-commands channels.

Trick-or-treaters will appear and you'll have the chance to greet them. Use the right command and they'll leave you something for your kindness. Collect everything and become your server's Champion of Halloween!

Bad lag, bad!
- Fighting lag by turning off 50% of the Halloween Mobs and clearing ground items more frequently.

Crazy Boosters
- Boosters were set to 5x for Excavation yesterday and today for Fishing we set it to 5x
- Boosters tomorrow might be Woodcutting and go up to 7x

Thank you for playing!
- Player rewards were given the last few days to the active players, enjoy the extra loot.
- Saturday night we might correct a few stupid shulkerboxes, we will see.

Boss Fights
- We had a Double Wither fight the other day and some crazy mobs.
- Today we fought the /end Double Dragons, it was actually 3, but one flew away.

- And then we focus on week 4 and the big end of month Halloween event.

Scarecrows
- Starting October 18th, we will now have scarecrows, below is a video to demonstrate them.
Note: The video is from last year, but it's basically the same. And in the coming days you might be able to buy them at various places on the server (/market, or /points, /jobs shop, or from an activity reward)

Note: The video mentions you can post on the forums to get free ones. We're not really doing that this year, but, .. if you have posted in this thread for the build competition or the skin rewards, you definitely are getting a couple of them. And yes, you can still post your halloween skin and build competition screenshots, feel free to participate! The events run until November 2nd.

What is happening in October? (Week 4 Update)
(List updates almost daily)

- Week 4 starts at October 21st
(and Halloween event starts the late evening of the 28th and runs until the morning of November 2nd)

Configuration changes
- We've been waiting for players to come online to do some events, and a more serious drop party, but haven't seen around 10 players, so we'll wait. Maybe this week?
- Instead, I've been making some configuration changes so building is a little easier.

Keeping your Exp levels
- Just like Keep Inventory got turned on last week, this week we're turning on Keep Exp levels when you die.
- This should make it more fun to play without losing your levels all the time.

Halloween Dimension: Ghost Hunting
- This is a confirmation that we will have a Ghost Skull Scavenger Hunt at the end of the month in the Halloween Dimension. You can then type /halloween to get there, and to start the event.
- There will be a separate post with information about the ghost hunt event, you can use this week to ask questions about it.

Halloween Dimension: The Doors will open!
- At the end of Week 4, on the evening of the 28th of October, we will open the doors to the Halloween Dimension.
- Once the doors open, you can type /halloween and get teleported to the spawn there.
- You will be able to explore the Halloween Town and Dimension, fight mobs, adventure and survive. There's builds made by players like you, staff members, and schematics and builds from other server and popular builders. It's fun to be there and experience this exclusive world.This is also where we will have the previously mentioned ghost hunt and the trick/treat event.
- The Halloween Event and the Spooky Month both end on the morning of November 2nd. This also means inventories will no longer keep in November and the same goes for Exp levels. So on November 2nd/3rd, please be careful! Thankfully, the Halloween mobs will then also disappear.

Halloween Dimension: Trick or Treating!
- At the end of Week 4, on the evening of the 28th of October, until the. morning of November 2nd, it is very very likely you will be able to go trick/treating in the Halloween Dimension. Oh my god, you will get double chests full of stuff.
- We will explain in a separate posts what trick/treating is and how to do it.

Darkness in the overworld!
- Oh noez, the halloween mobs have done it, they used their magic to keep the worlds dark. You will find the /mine and /general to be dark most of the time, sometimes sleeping doesn't even help.

mcMMO and Jobs booster events!
- With 8 to 10 people online contact mrfloris, and we will turn on 2,3,4,5,.. all the way to 8x mcMMO maybe even 9x .. Something we've never done before during an event. Last year it was 7 and 8 I think.

Special Run and Spleef event mini game prizes!
- With 8 to 10 people online, contact mrfloris! We will have a special /run game with diamond block drops and the winner gets a 1000 /points
- With 8 to 10 people online, contact mrfloris again! And we will have a few rounds of a little spleef game, where you use a shovel to break snow, the last one still on top of these rounds will get a netherite block and a netherite shovel with unbreaking 4 and efficiency 6 on it. And maybe a few more goodies.

Scavenger Event! Find the 50 Ghost Heads
(Right click to check if it's a ghost)

On the late evening of October the 28th you will be able to go to the /halloween dimension.

Just type: /halloween

If it allows you in, you can explore the spawn point, make sure to read the book in the lectern please.

Then right before the exit there's an orange ghost on a chain, it will have a sign. This sign says: this is that ghost you're looking for.

You capture the ghost by right clicking it. It will announce to the world you've found your first ghost.

You get nothing for this. It's a scavenger hunt. You get rewarded when you have found enough ghosts.

All the ghosts look the same, orange head, on a chain, and when you right click it, it will startle you and fly away. Your ghost counter goes up.

When you found 20 ghosts in the Halloween dimension, you get notified of this, and you get a reward box. Maybe even two? Who knows!

The box is full of goodies. nomnom! Fun for your collection of unique items, or just fun to use on a daily basis to eat or to dye things with. We're just going to call them Halloween Candy for now.

But that's not all, because I said there's 50 ghosts. So keep going. Explore the whole world. Almost every house has a ghost.

When you have found 40 ghosts, you get another reward box, maybe even two, try to find them all. If a reward box has books in them: read it!

And keep going, don't stop here. There's 50 ghosts, when you find the last one you get a final reward box, or two.. who knows.. Just keep searching for ghosts, I hope you find all 50.

You have until the early morning of November 2nd to find all 50, then the Halloween Dimension disappear again.

Can't find all ghosts before then? Ask other players to help you. Just don't bother them, try it yourself first. Or get a buddy and search together.

This is how it looks like when you find your first ghost. And it's at the entrance of the Halloween spawn point. The rest? We might post screenshots of some other ghosts eventually while the event is happening (but not all, part of the fun is finding them).

Trick and Treating Event! Visit the 60 Doors
(Left click with empty hand 3x to knock)

On the late evening of October the 28th you will be able to go to the /halloween dimension.
And this event ends on the early morning on the 2nd of November 2020

When you type /halloween, you end up at the Halloween Dimension


There's obviously something to read: READ IT


You can explore the world, and when you see a door with a golden pressure plate, you know you can trick and treat that door. Make sure you have nothing in your hand and knock three times with your left hand.


If there's a treat you will have it in your empty inventory slots. If your inventory is full it will drop on the floor: make sure you have inventory space.


If you get a trick, it will also let you know. Tricks include things that try to kill you, dizzy you, or even kick you out. I wonder who gets the temp ban !


Your inventory will fill up FAST.


Server rule: If others are there and they pick it up, they do not have to give it to you, if they do it's a courtesy. Don't fight over it. There's honestly more than plenty of items. Just keep your inventory empty enough.

Update!

Just confirming that the Casino will be open this halloween event!

You can use your in-game money and visit /halloween, find the casino in the town and play.

There's 13 different slot machines you can right click then click the trip wire to start.

Update !!

The Halloween Dimension is open now.

You can type /halloween to join.

Here are the hints to the first 10 doors But all nearly 60 doors can be found by looking for golden pressure plates.

Hold nothing in your hand, knock 3x with your left hand, and the door pays out loot instantly.

You can trick/treat a door daily.

You can ignore the first weird number, the three numbers that are easier to read are x y z

When you press F3 in your client (or Fn F3 on some systems) then you get a debug window overview, you can also type; /pos in the game. The xyz is listed there.

If you find the prismarine disco hangout spot in /halloween, there's a way to get to a little secret area - see if you can find it There is a reward hiding there if you can.
