Mojang has announced 1.19, this means that we will focus next on this release.

What's next?

1.19.1 is now out, we've upgraded, yay.. And what's next is potentially 1.19.2, but I haven't heard anything about it, and otherwise probably 1.20, but we haven't heard anything about that version either yet.

For 1MB, we're working on updating all the spawn areas in each world, and then we're working on the event worlds and some popular warp locations. Followed by a fun season of events this Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas period.

Update:

Mojang has released 1.19.2, we will be focussing on the event worlds, as well as offering a stable 1.19.2 experience. If Mojang releases 1.19.3, we will update, otherwise I assume the next update will be 1.20.

The performance of 1.19 has been matching 1.18, we haven't seen a reason yet to move away from the I7 to M1, but we've spread the workload between the two. We will revisit this with 1.20.

Fall Season (sept 21st) update included bump to java19 on 1.19.2.
Next is perhaps newer 1.19.x builds and otherwise 1.20, and further updates to existing plugins, worlds, and java. Maybe the OS gets a boost.

Mojang has released snapshots for 1.19.4, and we're on 1.19.3 right now. Next experimental features are 1.20 bundled. So next for us will either be staying on 1.19.3 and skipping .4, waiting for 1.20, or we go to 1.19.4 if we can, and then to 1.20 when we can.

Mojang has released 1.19.4, and spigot and paper were pretty quick, I had tax stuff to do, couldn't upgrade. But could test. Which completed..

Mojang has released 1.20 snapshots, implying there won't be a 1.19.5 release, so we've upgraded the server to 1.19.4 today.

Next focus will be 1.19.4 "stable" gaming experience, while testing snapshots world upgrades to 1.20 until we have a spigot or paper build to test 1.20.

We're on 1.20.1, I don't have any info about the next MC version.

For us at 1MB, we've got some 'fun things' planned for the Summer season.

We're on 1.20.2, aiming at 1.20.3 and 1.21, which have been semi-announced by Mojang through their events and snapshots. The focus right now is to get a stable 1.20.2 first, finish this years's events and take a break in January.

We will skip 1.20.3, because they just announced it and then announced 1.20.4 rc1, due to a serious bug. So we will stay on 1.20.2, and have added protocol support for 1.20.3, and when we have time we will go to 1.20.4 when it's stable and ready. After that I assume the focus will be in 2024 to go to 1.21 when mojang releases it.

1.20.4 is out, we are 1.20.2, accepting connections from 1.20.3/4 next wil be 1.20.5 maybe? mojang did not announce it, next can be 1.21

Mojang has released 1.21, we now have support for 1.20.3 -> 1.21, what's next? Probably 1.21, we will stay on 1.20.4 for a bit until we can upgrade comfortably to 1.21
