Triple post, but I got more movies to share. Watched these two last night:

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen

Impressive! Most impressive. But you are not a Jedi... err, never mind that. :D The whole movie is just DAAAAAAMN!!! I don't know why, but I like watching giant robots kicking each other's butts, hehehe... :p

The story isn't bad either, even better than the first part. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the next part. If I could find all Transformers movies on DVD, I'd buy them without thinking twice about it.

For now, I'll just leave you with my favorite scene from this part:

Total Recall

Old movie from 1990, but still good. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays a guy whose entire identity and all memories have been replaced with another one(s), all in an effort for him to infiltrate the rebel organization on Mars struggling for their right to breathe air. Literally. I watched this movie several times, but it took me awhile to fully understand its story.

Also, since the large part of the movie takes place on Mars, some of its aspects (mines on Mars, struggle against the oppressor, etc.) remind me of a game called Red Faction.

Now, someone please watch a movie (any movie) and post about it here. I don't want to make 4 posts in the row. ;)

Last movie I saw was Paul, which stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and the voice of Seth Rogen.

Thought it was terribly lame and unfunny. There were some references that made me chuckle, but for the most part it was a cringefest.

Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

Terminator_3_poster.jpg

This was a second time I watched this movie. I'm not sure what to think about it. It's somewhat "weaker" than Terminator 2: Judgment Day, but still fun to watch. The only thing that irks my injun (hey Hawkeye ;) ) is the fact the movie completely ignores the events from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles series, like they never happened, and continues where Judgment Day left off, despite the fact The Sarah Connor Chronicles does the same. Although, the movie was made before the series, so the blame actually lays on the people who made The Sarah Connor Chronicles series in a way that clashes with the movie. Bummer.

I wonder when I'll get the chance to watch the final part, Terminator Salvation.

Looks like the continuity of the Terminator story is going to receive the Highlander treatment.

I last saw 9. I've been wanting to see it for some time, but only just got around to it. I expected better, the whole movie was predictable and too long for my tastes. If I hadn't been out of movies to watch I'd have turned it off. As it was I was tired and couldn't be bothered to move.

I wonder when I'll get the chance to watch the final part, Terminator Salvation.
Salvation sucked for me.

Eeewww! Get a girlfriend to do that for you. :uy: :D

I heard Salvation is the worst of all Terminator movies, but I'd like to see it anyway, just to see how the whole story ends.

I just saw "Office Space" last night. It's about three computer programs who are unhappy with their jobs who try to steal money from the company they work for, IniTech.

I had a pleasure of watching Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer last night.

I find the lack of story depth in this movie disturbing, but I suppose that could be said for any comic-based movie. I don't have much else to say except that I would like to see another sequel. First part was good. This part is a bit weaker, but still fun to watch, if you like these kind of movies. Flame on!

I watched "Wrath of the Titans" a few days ago (and there was like 1 titan, it disappoint). I didn't even watch the first movie, but I don't think I missed much. There's action, special effects, and no story depth whatsoever. Black Pegasus is amazing, and Ares is badass, as villains should be, but apart from that there isn't much to say.

I just saw "Office Space" last night. It's about three computer programs who are unhappy with their jobs who try to steal money from the company they work for, IniTech.

Wait, so the computer programs are unhappy?

I watched Superman Returns last night.

03_BusShelter.jpg

Good movie, but it somehow failed to reach the quality of the old Superman movies. Brandon Routh played the role quite well, but neither him nor Tom Welling are a match for Christopher Reeve, the original Superman.

Same like with the Terminator franchise, I don't like the fact the show Smallville so blatantly clashes with the storyline and the timeline the original Superman movies established. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, watch the show and you'll see what I mean.

Finished watching Evan Almighty an hour ago.

Bruce Almighty was good. This one is even better, if you believe in the Bible and don't mind a little bit of harmless fun at the expense of Noah and his ark.

Lucky Number Slevin was the last movie I watched. Saw it years ago when it first came out, hated it, mostly because the previews were comparing it to Kill Bill when in fact it's closer to a cross between a Guy Ritchie flick and The Usual Suspects Watched it again last night, thought it was great. Lucy Liu is sexy as hell, Ben Kingsley and Josh Hartnett disappeared into their roles, and Bruce Willis did a terrific low-key performance.

Also saw Attack the Block which given the almost universal praise I've heard for it is pretty overrated imo. Not a bad flick, but not nearly as amazing as I'd heard.

The last movie I saw was The Resident which starred Hilary Swank and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. It's an okay movie but I thought Jeffrey Dean Morgan didn't make a very convincing bad guy. I've known him from other movies and he always plays the good guy and to see him playing a psychopathic killer seems out of character. I'm so aware that he's Jeffrey Dean Morgan and not some crazy man in love with his tenant.

Good movie. A bit different from the rest of Indiana Jones movies, but good anyway. I even learned something from it. Here's what I learned:

Jose Rizal's "Noli Me Tangere"

1961? Goodness this movie is old. I was surprised to find it on youtube . Even my parents have never seen this movie...not that they wouldn't know the story. The books are required reading here. I have to say though that it's a pretty faithful adaptation.

You know, imitating someone is supposed to be the highest form of flattering, so I take that as a compliment. ;)

Aliens vs Predator - Requiem

b_4136.jpg

Old Alien movies with Sigourney Weaver were good, especially the second part. Both Predator movies were also good, especially the first part ("Get to the choppa!!!" :p ). Alien vs Predator wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either.

This movie has managed to hit the rock bottom. It had all the proper ingredients. Big scary aliens - check. Big scary alien hunters - check. Useless panicking Humans (aka the cannon fodder) - check. Yet somehow, the chef (aka the director) managed to mix them into something uneatable.

The movie begins exactly where the first part ended - with a Predator ship leaving Earth and the birth of the Predalien (mixture of a Predator and an Alien) from the corpse of the Predator that died at the end of the first part. After popping out from his chest, Predalien managed to single-handedly kill the entire crew of the ship (Seriously? A ship full of badass hunters couldn't handle one Alien? ), causing it to crash back to Earth. Before dying, one of the Predators managed to send out some kind of distress signal along with the recording of what happened on the ship to their home planet. Upon receiving the signal and viewing the recording, a single Predator went to Earth to solve the problem. Seriously? One Predator went to do what an entire ship full of Predators couldn't? Oh, please.

The movie is full of useless characters whose sole purpose is to look pretty and/or die in the most absurd ways. Storyline is full of useless branches that lead nowhere and the movie itself is waaaaaay too dark. Most of it takes place at night in a poorly lit areas, making it difficult, if not impossible to see what's happening in some scenes.

I won't say anything else to avoid spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but not watching this movie wouldn't be much of a loss, even for the biggest Alien and/or Predator fans.
